CLASS serves children from age of diagnosis through early adulthood. We collaborate with both private and public schools to achieve the highest levels of inclusion possible for our students and fade services as soon as it is appropriate to do so. Parent support, training and participation are always a cornerstone of our programs.
The Bay Area Achievement School would like to welcome and introduce Zoe Papazoglou, our new Special Education teacher. Zoe Papazoglou came to the Bay Area Achievement School after working with San Diego Unified for several years. She completed her Master’s degree in Special Education from National University in November, 2011, where she also received her Education Specialist teaching credential in moderate to severe disabilities and Autism Certificate. She is currently working toward her graduate certificate in Behavioral Intervention in Autism at the University of Massachusetts, Lowell, with the goal of becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
Zoe began her career in Special Education by working at a specialized school, assisting students with severe maladaptive behaviors by implementing individualized intervention strategies based on ABA principles. Zoe has had experience working with high school students with disabilities, by helping them transition from being a student to an independent adult. In addition, Zoe taught an elementary (K-2) special day class. She has specialized experience in creating individualized academic curriculum plans to meet the needs of her students.
It is her hope and true passion to help the students of the Bay Area Achievement School succeed through the use of highly effective, data driven, and research-based teaching methodologies.
